ABOUT ME
My name is Bernadette Kentwell and I’m currently a 4th year design student at Western Sydney University and currently reside in the suburbs of the Inner West of Sydney. While I study full time, I work part time in a local retailer and I’m quite heavily involved with my local netball club ‘West Magpies’ as a coach and manager of their website and social media existences.
My passion within the design field lies strongly within the sector of Photography, more specifically Landscape Photography, although I have an eye for detail when it comes to Information Design. I have been into photography from a young age, although it hasn’t been until recent years that I have discovered what style I prefer.
During 3rd and 4th year at University I experienced live briefs for clients, and though this process learnt a lot about myself and what work I am capable of producing. I learnt that an important key to working successfully in the design field is to have great time management and to try and remain open to new ideas and possibilities. I have stepped beyond her realms of Landscape Photography in the past few months, and successfully produced some great Portrait Photography from nightclub events.
Photography is my outlet; it is where I can express my own style, while also sticking to client briefs. Photography helps me communicate and show how beautiful the world can be, while simultaneously connecting and engaging with responders.
"An image is a creative way to tell as story, keeping it short and sweet and open to interpretation."
